The Nebraska State Capitol will be closed on Sunday July 27, 2014. Office of the Capitol Commission and Lincoln Electric System staff will shut off power to the entire building while they repair one of the Capitol’s electrical transformers. During this time the Capitol will be closed to staff and the public for safety reasons. This coming weekend please plan to visit the Capitol on Saturday July 26th between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Tours will be available on the hour except at noon. The building will reopen for visitors and state’s business at 8:00 a.m. Monday July 28th. Please call (402)471-0449 with any questions.
