The 50 Mile March Foundation will hold a rally to draw attention of homeless veterans on the north plaza of the Nebraska State Capitol on August 26, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. and begin their annual 50 Mile March to Omaha at 5:00 p.m.

The Welsh North American Association will hold their North American Festival of Wales Opening Ceremony in the 2nd floor rotunda of the Nebraska State Capitol on Thursday August 31, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. There will be a Welsh flag raising on the north plaza at 4:30 p.m.
