The purpose of this hearing is to receive comments on proposed changes to Title 172, Chapter 61 of the Nebraska Administrative Code (NAC) – Licensure of Medical Nutrition Therapists. The proposed changes remove all duplicative statutory language from the regulations and removes any repetitive regulatory language that is found in 172 NAC 10. The proposed changes update continuing education requirements by removing the requirement for the Board to approve continuing education programs, revises the topic areas and certification programs that are considered acceptable continuing education, and updates formatting and outdated terms such as American Dietetic Association to Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
