The purpose of this hearing is to receive comments on proposed changes to Title 172, Chapter 2 of the Nebraska Administrative Code (NAC) – Fees. This chapter sets fees for issuance and renewal of credentials for professions, occupations, and businesses regulated under the Uniform Credentialing Act and for inspections and reinspections. The proposed changes remove duplicative statutory language from the regulations; add fees for newly regulated professions or occupations and remove fees for professions and occupations that are no longer regulated; update credential names to be consistent with legislative changes; and update formatting.
Credentials added to this chapter include: dental sedation permits for deep, minimal, and moderate sedation; dental hygienist expanded function permit and additional competency permit; dental assistant license, expanded function permit, and additional competency permit; dialysis patient care technician; genetic counselor; surgical first assistant; and animal therapist licenses in acupuncture, chiropractic, chiropractic veterinary orthopedic manipulation (VOM), massage therapy, and physical therapy.
Credentials removed from this chapter include: dental anesthesia permits for parenteral sedation and inhalation analgesia; cosmetic establishments; guest artists in cosmetology, body art, and nail technology; and licensed practical nurse-certified.
