The purpose of this hearing is to receive comments on proposed changes to Title 180, Chapter 24 of the Nebraska Administrative Code (NAC) – Physical Protection of Radioactive Material. The chapter requires special controls focusing on high-risk radioactive sources to prevent unauthorized access, theft, or diversion. The chapter includes detection and reporting requirements of actual or attempted unauthorized use of high-risk radioactive materials and security requirements during transportation. The proposed changes correct any typographical errors and update formatting.
