The purpose of this hearing is to receive comments on proposed changes to Title 471 Chapter 2 of the Nebraska Administrative Code (NAC) – Provider Participation These regulations govern provider participation under Nebraska’s Medicaid Program. The proposed changes set forth provider participation requirements, reasons for sanctions, provider disclosures, and update the screening and enrollment of Medicaid providers to include fingerprint based criminal background checks. The proposed changes also remove duplicate statutory and inconsistent language from the regulations, restructure the regulatory chapter, and ensure compliance with the State Plan, other NAC chapters, federal law, and best practices.
