State Holocaust Commemoration

2nd Floor Rotunda

The Jewish Federation of Lincoln and the Institute for Holocaust Education will hold the annual State Holocaust Commemoration in the second floor rotunda of the Capitol on Sunday May 5, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The program will include readings, poetry, a choir, keynote speaker and symbolic candle lighting ceremony.

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services will present staff awards for Department Values and Core Competencies in the second floor rotunda on Monday May 6, 2024 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The Malcolm X Foundation will host an exhibit on Malcolm X in the first floor rotunda of the Capitol in the weeks following to his induction into the Nebraska Hall of Fame. The exhibit will be up from May 19 - 31, 2024.

The Nebraska Hall of Fame Commission will induct Malcolm X, born Malcolm Little, as the 27th member of the Nebraska Hall of Fame.
