The Society for Range Management, Nebraska Section, will have a first floor rotunda display to recognize 2026 as the international Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists from August 31 to September 14, 2026. The goal of the exhibit is to draw attention to the value of rangelands as an economic and natural resource base for Nebraska.

Lincoln Christian School will present an America 250: A Constitutional Celebration is the second floor rotunda of the Capitol on Thursday September 17, 2026 from 12:00 - 12:30 p.m.  The concert to celebrate Constitution Day will feature patriotic music and readings, presented by the 4th grade students.

The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska will hold an awareness walk on the sidewalks around the Nebraska State Capitol on Wednesday September 30, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. the walk will bein on the north plaza of the Capitol.

The Nebraska Supreme Court will swear in new attorneys in the second floor rotunda of the Capitol on Thursday October 1, 2026 at 1:30 p.m.

The Nebraska State Capitol tower will be lit green the evening of October 9, 2026 to draw attention to Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome and Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorder Associated with Streptococcal Infections.

The Department of Administrative Services Division of Personnel's annual Years of Service Awards Ceremony will be held in the second floor rotunda of the Nebraska State Capitol at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Thursday October 15, 2026.

The Teluga Samiti of Nebraska will hold a Diwali Cultural Showcase in the second floor rotunda of the Capitol on Monday October 19, 2026 at noon. The program will include music, dance, and a short narration on Diwali's cultural significance with reflections on family, faith, and tradition.

The Administrative Offices of the Courts and Probation will hold their annual years of service recognition for employees in the second floor rotunda on October 20, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. and  the Judicial Branch awards will be at at 1:30 p.m.

A Veterans Freedom Walk will be held on the north plaza of the Capitol on Saturday October 24, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. to draw attention to veterans issues of homelessness, suicide and lack of treatment at VA facilities across the nation.
