    The 50 Mile March Foundation will assemble for their annual walk for homeless veterans on the north plaza of the Capitol at 11:00 a.m. and depart for their walk to Omaha at noon.

    The Society for Range Management, Nebraska Section, will have a first floor rotunda display to recognize 2026 as the international Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists from August 31 to September 14, 2026. The goal of the exhibit is to draw attention to the value of rangelands as an economic and natural resource base for Nebraska.

    Lincoln Christian School will present an America 250: A Constitutional Celebration is the second floor rotunda of the Capitol on Thursday September 17, 2026 from 12:00 - 12:30 p.m.  The concert to celebrate Constitution Day will feature patriotic music and readings, presented by the 4th grade students.
