The Nebraska State Capitol will be open for holiday schedule tours.  State offices will be closed. The Nebraska Department of Veterans Affairs will have the Capitol lit green to honor Nebraska's veterans the evening of November 11.

Remembrance Day Celebration

The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War will stand vigil and have a program at the Lincoln Monument on the West Plaza of the Nebraska State Capitol at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday November 16,2024. the remembrance is to commemorate the November 19 anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address.

Commissioner’s Recognition of Student Excellence

2nd Floor Rotunda

The Nebraska Department of Education Center for Student Excellence & Expanded Learning will host the annual student recognition ceremony in the second floor rotunda the Capitol on November 25, 2024 at 2:30 p.m.

Capitol Closed Thanksgivng and Friday After

The Capitol will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after. The Capitol will open for tours on Saturday.

National Guard Birthday Celebration

The Nebraska National Guard will celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the National Guard on December 13, 2024, with a 10:00 a.m. ceremony in the second floor rotunda and birthday cake to follow in the Capitol Dining Room on first floor.

EPIC Concert

The EPIC Vocal Ensemble will perform in the Capitol 2nd floor rotunda on December 15, 2024, from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
