Mayor’s Run

Capitol Grounds

The Lincoln Track Club will hold the annual one mile children's fun run on the streets around the Nebraska State Capitol on Saturday May 6 from 8:00 - 10:30 a.m. The Mayor's Runners will begin on the south side of the Capitol and finish on the north side.

English Teacher of the Year Recognition

2nd Floor Rotunda

The Nebraska English Language Arts Council of the State English Teachers Association will recognize the 2023 English Teacher of the Year and outstanding English students on Friday May 12, at 4:00 p.m. in the second floor rotunda of the Nebraska State Capitol.

Peace Officers Memorial Display

First Floor Display

The Nebraska State Patrol will honor fallen officers in a first floor rotunda display May 13 -- 20.

DHHS Teammates Appreciation Day

2nd Floor Rotunda

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services will honor service awards winners and annual award winners in a series of program between 10:30 am and 3:00 pm on Monday May 15.

Children’s Mental Health Awareness Rally

Capitol Grounds

Families Inspiring Families will have a rally at the Capitol following their annual Pony Express Ride to draw attention to Children's Mental Health Issues. the rally on the north plaza will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday May 20, 2023.

Memorial Day

The Capitol will be open for tours from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  State offices will be closed.

Support Nebraska Public Schools Rally

Support Nebraska Public Schools will hold a rally on the north plaza of the Nebraska State Capitol on June 6, 2023 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.

Cornhusker Girls State Ceremony

The American Legion Auxiliary will hold the annual Girls State Inauguration Ceremony in the 2nd floor rotunda of the Nebraska State Capitol on Thursday June 8, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.

Star City Pride Parade

Star City Pride is holding their annual Pride Parade on the streets surrounding, the grounds and north plaza of the Nebraska State Capitol on Saturday June 10,2023. The parade will begin occur between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. Streets around the Capitol will be closed during the parade.

NSP Camp 67 Graduation

The Nebraska State Patrol will hold graduation ceremonies for Camp 67 in the 2nd floor rotunda of the Nebraska State Capitol from 10:00 to noon on Friday June 16, 2023.
