Labor Day Holiday

The Capitol will be open for tours from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. State Offices will be closed.

Flags Lowered to Honor the Fallen

The flags at the Capitol will fly at half-staff from September 8 - September 11 to honor fallen Lincoln Police Officer Mario Herrera. Flags flying at half-staff on Friday September 11, Patriot Day, will also honor the victims of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks.

Four Winds Working in Harmony Ceremony

The Cante Tenza Okolakiciye (Strong Heart Warrior Society) will meet on the north plaza Saturday September 12, 2020 from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. to walk around the Capitol to the four directions to show solidarity and gather on the steps for a program.

CAPITOL CLOSED

The Capitol will be closed on Saturday September 19, 2020 for building-wide equipment maintenance. The Capitol will reopen for tours on Sunday September 20 at 1:00 p.m.
