State Fair Art Awards
2nd Floor RotundaThe Nebraskland Foundation will host State Fair Art Competition entries and present awards recognizing student achievement at a 1:30 p.m. ceremony in the 2nd floor rotunda of the Nebraska State Capitol.
Capitol Closed
The Capitol will be closed on Saturday February 28, 2026 for special Statehood Day activities.
Statehood Day
Nebraska was admitted to the United States of America as the 37th state on March 1, 1867. The Capitol will be open for guided tours from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
