Veterans Day Holiday and Tower Lighting

The Capitol will be open for public tours on Friday November 11, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the Veterans Day holiday. The Nebraska Department of Veterans Affairs will have the tower of the Capitol lit green from dusk until 10:30 p.m. to honor veterans.  State offices will be closed.

2022 Lincoln Veterans Parade

The Lincoln Veterans Parade Group is holding the 2022 Veterans Parade along K Street on Sunday November 13. First Floor Display

Nebraska GIS/LIS will have a first floor rotunda display in the Capitol from November 14 -18 to showcase featuring posters made by Nebraska college students showcasing the ways GIS is used across Nebraska.

Remember the Fallen

First Floor Display

A display to remember fallen Nebraskans will be up in the first floor rotunda of the Capitol until December 9. The display features a half size replica of the Tomb of the Unknowns and is sponsored by Patriotic Productions.
