Capitol Cafe Closed

The Capitol Cafe operated by Mulberry BBQ will be closed on Friday December 29. the Dining Room is expected to reopen on Tuesday January 2, 2024.

Hemp Education Display

First Floor Display

The Nebraska Hemp Company will sponsor a Hemp Education display in the first floor of the Capitol from January 2 - 14, 2024.

NE Mesonet Display

First Floor Display

The University of Nebraska Mesonet task force will have a display explaining the state's Mesonet system and plans to build out the system statewide. Displayed on first floor will be some on the weather monitoring equipment use in the Mesonet stations.

Martin Luther King Day

The Nebraska State Capitol will be open for holiday schedule tours.  State offices will be closed.

Deaf/Hard of Hearing Awareness Display

First Floor Display

The Nebraska Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing will have a staffed display in the first floor rotunda from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on Wednesday January 17 to demonstrate the services offered by the agency.

National CRNA Week Display

First Floor Display

The Nebraska Association of Nurse Anesthetists will have an educational display in the first floor rotunda from January 22 - 26, 2024. On Wednesday January 24, nurse anesthetist staff will be available to take blood pressure measurements.

Nebraska Walk for Life

Nebraska Right to Life will hold their annual Right to Life Rally on the north side of the Nebraska State Capitol on Saturday January 27, 2024 at 10:00 am.

Wear Red Day

Capitol Grounds

Weather and roof conditions permitting, the Nebraska State Capitol's tower will be lit red for the American Heart Association's Wear Red campaign on Friday February 2, 2024, to draw attention to women's heart health.

Nebraska Community College Display

First Floor Display

The Nebraska Community College Association will display Community College banners in the first floor rotunda of the Capitol from February 11 - 24, 2024.
