First Floor Display

The Nebraska State College System will celebrate the accomplishments of Nebraska's State Colleges in a first floor rotunda display from February 8-15.

Statehood Day

Nebraska celebrates its 154th anniversary of statehood on March 1, 2021. Nebraska was admitted to the United States as the 37th state.

Youth Art Month

The Nebraska Art Teachers Association will virtually display the artwork of students from all across Nebraska from March 13 - 27, 2021 in celebration of Youth Art Month. Please go to the Nebraska Art Teachers Association Website to view the YAM Celebration Video.

NMEA Capitol Concerts

2nd Floor Rotunda

The Nebraska Music Education Association will hold a series of noontime concerts in the Capitol 2nd floor rotunda from March 22 - 25. The public is welcome to attend. Each day two groups of Nebraska students will perform.  

Virtual Holocaust Commemoration

The Jewish Federation of Lincoln and the Institute for Holocaust Education will hold the Nebraska Holocaust Commemoration ceremony virtually this year due to the ongoing pandemic, but hope to be in the 2nd floor rotunda of the Capitol on Sunday May 1, 2022. 11th Annual Workers Memorial

Capitol Grounds

The United Support Memorial for Workplace Fatalities are sponsoring a vigil on the north plaza at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday April 28th for families, Unions, State Representatives, OSHA Representatives and Federal Representatives to honor man and women who have been killed or fatally injured at work.
