The United States Drug Enforcement Administration will draw attention to fentanyl prevention through lighting the tower of the Nebraska State Capitol in the evening the weekend of August 21, 2026.

The 50 Mile March Foundation will assemble for their annual walk for homeless veterans on the north plaza of the Capitol at 11:00 a.m. and depart for their walk to Omaha at noon.
