Capitol Gifts and Souvenirs

The Office of the Capitol Commission will have Capitol Commemorative Ornaments and T-Shirts available through the Tour Program for pick up at the Capitol or by mail order. OCC is only able to accept payment by check or cash. Inquiries about purchasing these items should be made to the Tourism Supervisor via email at roxanne.smith@nebraska.gov or by phone at (402)471-0449. The Capitol Commission has three different styles of T-shirts available, please contact the Tourism Supervisor to check on colors and sizes available. Children’s and short sleeved T-shirts are $15.00 and long sleeved T-shirts are $25.00, plus tax.

Genius T-shirts are available in men’s style long and short sleeved in small, medium, large, x-large, 2x-large and 3x-large.  Colors currently available for Genius of Creative Energy include: red, black athletic gray, white, beige, stone gray, royal blue, slate, turquoise heather, periwinkle, teal, lime, purple, Texas orange, gold, safety orange, cranberry and mulberry. Not all sizes are available in long sleeves or all colors, some colors have very limited sizes.

Thunderbird T-shirts are available in men’s, women’s and children’s styles. There are limited sizes in certain colors, call to inquire. Children’s short sleeve t-shirts come in size small, medium, large and x-large in red, green, lilac, pale blue, cranberry, tan, royal blue and pink.  Men’s and Women’s T-shirts come in small, medium, large, x-large, 2x-large and 3x-large. Women’s long-sleeved come in bright gold, blue, athletic gray, dark heather gray, white, black and pink. Women’s short sleeved come in turquoise, white, coral, berry, gray. Men’s long sleeved come in gold, red, natural, white, charcoal gray and athletic gray. Men’s short sleeved come in red, athletic gray, white, light blue, dark gray, dark brown, and tan.

A very limited supply of white women’s Spirit of the Prairie T-shirts are available in long and short sleeves.

 

 

 

The Office of the Capitol Commission began the series of Commemorative ornaments in 2004. The 3″ solid brass ornaments feature architectural or artistic detail of the Capitol and commemorate the beauty of the Capitol or the preservation work of the Office of the Capitol Commission.  Most ornaments for the subsequent years are still available, some in limited quantities. Information about purchasing the current OCC Commemorative ornament or a past year’s ornament is available by emailing roxanne.smith@nebraska.gov  or phoning the Tourism Supervisor at (402)471-0449.  Ornaments are $21.95, plus tax and any shipping required, the 2021 ornament is $25.95 plus tax and any shipping, the 2023 ornament is $23.95 plus tax and shipping.
