On Friday September 22nd the Legislature’s Sesquicentennial gift to Nebraska was dedicated. The four courtyard fountains intended to be the focal point of the Nebraska State Capitol’s courtyards were not installed during original construction due to the Great Depression. As part of Nebraska’s Sesquicentennial celebration the fountains were installed and the Nebraska Capitol Commission kicked off the Salute to the Goodlife Celebration with the official dedication ceremony.
