The Nebraska State Capitol will be closed on Friday December 25, 2015 for the Christmas holiday. All Judicial Branch/Court offices, including the Probation Administration, will be closed all day December 24th and other offices of government will close at noon on Thursday December 24th. The Capitol will be open for visitors until 5:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Tours will be offered at 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 a.m. and 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve; at 10:00, 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday December 26th and at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. on Sunday December 27th. The beautiful 25 foot tall Concolor Fir tree festively decorated with ornaments representing Nebraska’s 93 counties will be shining bright in the Capitol’s 2nd floor rotunda through 5:00 p.m. Monday December 28th. The tree will come down on Tuesday December 29th. The Capitol and all government offices will be closed on Friday January 1, 2016 and the 104th Legislature Second Session will convene on Wednesday January 6 at 10:00 a.m. Please contact the tour office at 471-0448 for additional information.
