Fall school tours offer groups a chance to see the Capitol during a quiet time of year when students can focus their full attention on learning. Beginning the school year with a Capitol tour provides students with an artistic introduction to Nebraska History and government which their studies throughout the remainder of the year will draw upon and reinforce. There are fewer school groups in competition for prime days and times, and guides have a chance to provide more personalized service to each group. Because 2016 is an even year the Legislature will hold its 60 day session. Groups coming in late April or May will miss out on the Legislature in session, so a fall tour might be an option for those unable to schedule a Thursday or Friday in the spring.
