The Hildegard Center for the Arts, in partnership with the Nebraska Tourism Commission and the Nebraska State Historical Society, is launching a statewide Photography Call to coincide with Nebraska 150th Birthday Celebration in 2017. The Photography Call is titled “Bridges: Sharing our Past to Enrich the Future”. Photographers are invited to submit photos which highlight Nebraska’s historic places and over-looked historic treasures in the state’s 93 counties. Subjects for the photography include Historic properties, recognized historic landmarks, cultural activities/events with a basis in local history and in context with an historic place, or historic buildings representing Nebraska or unique to Nebraska. The Hildegard Center will be accepting submissions through January 4, 2016. The selected photos: will be featured in a statewide traveling photography exhibit that coincides with Nebraska’s 150th Birthday Celebration in 2017, may appear in Nebraska Tourism travel guides, posters and calendars to promote this project and the State of Nebraska, will be showcased in a digital catalog and all submitted photos will become part of a virtual exhibit on partnering websites. Photographers can become part of Nebraska’s statewide 150th birthday celebration through this partnership between the Hildegard Center, Nebraska Tourism Commission and the Nebraska State Historical Society.
