First Floor DisplayThe Nebraska State Patrol will honor Nebraska's fallen peace officers with a May 6 - 15 memorial display in the first floor rotunda of the Capitol.

2nd Floor RotundaThe Nebraska English Language Arts Council will hold a poetry reading and awards ceremony in the 2nd floor rotunda of the Capitol on Friday May 6 at 4:00 p.m. Teachers and students will be honored for their dedication to language arts.

Cornhusker Girls State
2nd Floor RotundaFollowing a week of Girls State activities, the American Legion Auxiliary will host the GirIs State Inauguration Program in the 2nd floor rotunda of the Capitol on Thursday June 9 at 2:00 p.m.
Star City Pride Parade
Capitol GroundsStar City Pride will hold a parade on the streets surrounding the Nebraska State Capitol on Saturday June 18 beginning at 9:30 a.m. There will be speakers on the north plaza of the Capitol and the parade will conclude at noon. Streets around the Capitol will be closed during the parade.
Juneteenth Holiday
The Capitol will be open for holiday hours on Monday June 20 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. State offices will be closed in observance of the federal Juneteenth holiday.
Celebrating Religious Freedom
The Lincoln Atheists will have a first floor rotunda display celebrating religious freedom as outlined in the First Amendment to the United States Constitution from July 1 - 8, 2022.
