Flags Lowered to Honor the Fallen

The flags at the Capitol will fly at half-staff from September 8 - September 11 to honor fallen Lincoln Police Officer Mario Herrera. Flags flying at half-staff on Friday September 11, Patriot Day, will also honor the victims of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks.

CAPITOL CLOSED

The Capitol will be closed on Saturday September 19, 2020 for building-wide equipment maintenance. The Capitol will reopen for tours on Sunday September 20 at 1:00 p.m.

Juneteenth Holiday Observed

In recognition of the new federal Juneteenth holiday on June 19 all state offices will be closed on Friday June 18. the Capitol will be open for normal holiday hours from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and tours will be offered hourly except at noon.
