The United States Department of Labor's Office of Occupational Safety and Health Administration recognizes a day to remember fallen and injured workers in Nebraska nd across the United States. Nebraska's remembrance will occur on the north plaza of the Capitol on April 28 from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m.

The Lincoln Track Club will host thousands of students in a 1 mile Fun Run around the Capitol on May 3. Students from different age groups will run at different times beginning at 8:00 a.m. Roads around the Capitol will be closed for this event.

Governor Jim Pillen and the Nebraska Department of Veterans Affairs will present medals to Nebraska's living WWII veterans on VE Day, 2025, May 8th in the second floor rotunda at 1:00 p.m.

Families Inspiring Families will hold a rally on the north plaza of the Nebraska State Capitol on Saturday May 17 from 12:30 - 3:00 p.m.. A motorcycle 'Pony Express' will bring letters supporting children's mental health to be delivered to government leaders during the event.

The University of Nebraska Naval ROTC program will commission six new officers in the 2nd floor rotunda of the Capitol on Saturday May 17 at 12:00 p.m.
