At this time of year, the Indiana limestone tower of the Nebraska State Capitol is a canvas for the sun. As the sun shines on the building, the many angles and lines of the beautifully faceted tower are brought into sharp focus with the shadows cast by the sun. Those lucky enough to be near the Capitol as the sun sets see the building glow with the fading pink light. For a brief and beautiful moment the sun paints the limestone pink, and then it’s gone.
