The Capitol is once again busy with the comings and goings of the Unicameral Legislature. On Wednesday January 9, 2013 the 103rd Legislature First Session convenes at 10:00 a.m. This year eleven new senators will be sworn in on the first day of session. A list of current senators is available in the Legislature’s website. Once on the Legislature’s website there are links to Nebraska Educational Television’s gavel to gavel coverage, the Legislature’s daily schedule and agenda, committee hearing schedules and copies of all bills introduced. During the Legislative session parking is at a premium around the Capitol. There are several parking garage’s within walking distance the Capitol, and on street parking is available in the neighborhood south of the Capitol. One and two hour parking around the Capitol is strictly enforced.
