March is Youth Art Month and Nebraska’s Music Education Association is sponsoring a series of noon concerts in the Capitol Rotunda from February 28 – March 4. Today the Pawnee City Girls’ Ensemble helped Nebraska celebrate it’s March 1st Statehood Day by singing Nebraska’s state song, “Beautiful Nebraska” as part of their performance. Wednesday the Otte-Blair Jazz Band and the Tri-County Mixed Trio will perform, Thursday the “Take 4” Vocal Quartet from West Point-Beemer and the Gothenburg High School Choir will perform and on Friday the Grand island Senior High Camerata Orchestra and the St. Mary’s Fourth Grade Vocal Group from David City will perform.
