Financial Awareness Month Lighting

The Capitol tower will be lit green on Friday April 1, 2022 for the Nebraska State Treasurer to highlight Nebraska's College Savings 529 program and promote Financial Awareness Month.

DHHS Awards Ceremony

2nd Floor Rotunda

Friday April 1, the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services will hold their annual teammates awards program in the 2nd floor rotunda of the Capitol at 2:00 p.m.

Nebraska Mother of the Year Ceremony

2nd Floor Rotunda

The Nebraska Mothers Association, in affiliation of American Mothers Inc. will recognize the Nebraska Mother of the Year and the 5th grade essay winner in the 2nd floor rotunda on April 7 from 11:30 am to 1:00 p.m.

MADD Display

First Floor Display

Mothers Against Drunk Driving-Nebraska will have a Victim's Rights display in the first floor rotunda from April 11 - 15.

Soundsational Singers

2nd Floor Rotunda

The O'Neill Public School elementary choir will perform in the 2nd floor rotunda at noon on April 12, 2022.

Stuff the Truck

Capitol Grounds

The Department of Administrative Services will hold a Food Bank event on the north side of the Capitol on Thursday April 21. Donations to the Food Bank can be made to "stuff the truck" between 11:00 a.m. to noon.

Earth Day Strike

Embrace Nebraska will hold an Earth Day Strike on the North Plaza of the Capitol on April 22 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Project Animal Freedom will join their Vegan Climate March with the day's events.

UNL Out of Darkness Walk

Capitol Grounds

The UNL Out of Darkness Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Nebraska will hold a UNL Out of Darkness Campus Walk on April 24 from 10:00 a.m. - Noon. The group will begin on campus, walk to the Capitol for a rally and return to campus.
