SUMMARY:Public Reading of Declaration of Independence
DESCRIPTION:The Nebraska Society of the Sons of the American Revolution will hold a public reading of the Declaration of Independence in conjunction with a nationwide reading to commemorate the first reading of the Declaration 250 years ago.  The Nebraska Society of the Sons of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the Revolution will be on the north Steps of the Capitol on July 8\, 2026 with a program beginning at 4:30 p.m. and the reading at 5:00 p.m.  The public is invited to attend this commemoration.
