SUMMARY:Wreaths across America Proclamation
DESCRIPTION:Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day\, partners across America Remember and Honor service members by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery\, as well as at more than 2\,100 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states\, at sea and abroad. The public program in the Nebraska State Capitol has been cancelled due to the pandemic. To maintain public health\, volunteer involvement in wreath laying this year will be limited. Members of the public wishing to volunteer for 2021 activities to honor Nebraska’s veterans on Memorial Day and Wreath Across America Day should contact Greg Olson at (402)432-8121. \nThe Governor will sign a proclamation in the Capitol rotunda to declare Wreaths Across American Day in Nebraska for invited media. Due to the pandemic\, members of the public are encouraged to watch the signing on their local news channel.
