New Ornaments for Capitol Tree

First Lady Susanne Shore continues the celebration of Nebraska’s 150 birthday on Sunday December 2, 2018.  From 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. new ornaments commissioned by the First Lady in a statewide call to artists will be on display in the 2nd Floor Rotunda of the Nebraska State Capitol. The ornaments, in the shape of Nebraska, represent natural, social and agricultural aspects of Nebraska.  The public is invited to view the ornaments up close before they are hung on the official state Christmas tree in anticipation of the Sunday December 9,  2:00 p.m. 2nd Floor Rotunda Christmas tree lighting ceremony. The Christmas Tree Lighting and Carol Sing is sponsored by Pinewood Bowl Inc. and will begin with Prelude music at 1:30 p.m.
